Surah Yasin atau Surah Ya Sin  adalah surah ke-36 dalam al-Qur'an. Surah ini terdiri atas 83 ayat, serta termasuk golongan surah-surah Makkiyah. 
Dinamai Ya Sin karena surah ini dimulai dengan dua abjad Arab Ya Sin. Sebagaimana halnya arti tersembunyi huruf-huruf abjad Alif Lam Mim atau Nun yang terletak pada permulaan beberapa surah Al-Quran, maka demikian pula arti Ya Sin yang termasuk dalam kategori ayat mutasyaabihat.

Named Yes Sin because this surah starts with two Arabic alphabets Ya Sin. As well as the hidden meaning of the letters of the alphabet Alif Lam Mim or Nun which is located at the beginning of several suras of the Koran, so too the meaning of Ya Sin belongs to the category of mutasyaabihat verses.
